What is your definition of hell and sin? You need to have a clear grasp of that before you can really determine which characters you will choose. Try to give an exposition of your hell in prose form first. Consider how this has been influenced by Dante and/or Sartre. You have to have a plan before you can start pulling quotes.
katie could probably explain it better, but we are defining sin by loss of faith, simmilar to sartre's existentialist idea, but somewhat different. Antigone, lost faith in herself when she gave up fighting. Gregor also chose to give up on his faith and wait to die. Our hell is going to be a mental hell, a hell of words (like no exit) Iago is going to be a form of satan who plants seeds of doubt and anger in the minds of the others.
Okay, but be careful with your interpretation of Gregor. Does he really have a choice in the end? What he believe his purpose was after the apple scene? Be sure to consider teh symbolism of that. I just want to make sure you have an accurate read on that text since it was one I didn't teach you guys. We can chat about it more tomorrow.
Yeah I'm confused how Gregor fits into this but I'm sure we can just figure it out tomorrow but guys we might need to meet like after school sometime or something? Because so far we are still unsure about characters, no quotes, and yeah thats it but we really need to figure out what we're doing for sure in class tomorrow!

ok, so
we need to decide on the 4th character. mrs giggie says we can use sethe if we want, but somehow i dont think she fits well with our definiton of sin.
we could also use a more minor character. Mr / mrs Garner, or someone like that
any thoughts?
ok so iv started my search for Iago quotes, iv got two so far.
if any of you have suggestions i have Othello with me to find the quotes.
We cannot all be masters, nor all masters / cannot be followed (I.I.46,47)
“It is merely a lust of the blood and a permission / of the will” (I.III.376,378)
what is our final selection of characters? Because I can help pull out quotes but I need to know what quotes to pull from which characters
atm, we have Iago, Gregor, and Antigone

This sounds good. I think we're on the right track and we will be 100% clear on our definitons and interpretations tomorrow!
